Mom’s Peanut Brittle

This is a treat to whip out and delight folks at all flavors of parties and potlucks. It’s just four ingredients and the only hard part of making this is waiting for it to cool before you can start cramming it in your face. This video is my mom, Thelma Poole, showing the whole family how to cook peanut brittle. All the kids get involved and it gets nuts. You can choose your own ambiance for trying this recipe. The process takes about 20 minutes and uses the following ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raw peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Grace – 12-year-old that is a little better at helping but will ditch work for video games just like the 7-year-old did (Shelli’s daughter)

Ian – 23-year-old that cooks at work and likes to learn stuff, but man he’s ready to relax because he’s been working (Shelli’s son/Sage’s dad)

Roger – spatula hander-overer, overall supervisor and y’all better clean up this kitchener (Shelli’s dad)
